Why butter needs special paper

Butter easily picks up the smells of nearby products when it isn't well protected, and its fat soaks through ordinary paper. That's why it's usually wrapped in parchment or grease-resistant paper. When the paper is laminated with aluminum or PE, it keeps the fat in better and the butter's aroma intact.

How to choose

Start with how you pack: by hand or with a wrapping machine. If you use a machine, tell us the brand and model so we can see which paper fits it. If you want the pack to carry your brand, ask about customization.

What to keep in mind

Aluminum-laminated paper protects butter better, but as a composite material it usually isn't recycled. If that matters to your customers, tell us when you ask for a quote. For sugar we have sugar wrapping paper, and you'll find all types in food wrapping paper.
