Aluminum or metallized zip bags

Aluminum or metallized

In an aluminum bag, the material contains a real sheet of aluminum foil, which blocks oxygen better than metallized film. Choose it for the most sensitive products. In a metallized bag, the aluminum is a very thin layer on plastic film. This bag is lighter, usually cheaper and handles folding better, but when the metal layer gets scratched, oxygen can get through at that point.

With or without a window

A window shows the product, but light gets in through it. If your product fades or spoils in light, choose the bag without a window.

Sealing above the zip

Aluminum or metallized bags often don't seal well on simple impulse sealers. They often need a constant-heat sealer with wider jaws. Before placing a full order, test a bag on the sealer you have.
