Roll stock food packaging: film on a roll
Roll stock is packaging film wound on a roll. You don't get the bag ready-made: the automatic machine forms it, pack after pack. Rolls are made to your line's dimensions, and the film can be customized with printing.
Material and finish
The film is made in plastic, metallized or aluminum, as you need. For the finish there are two options: Glossy Seal Roll Stock, glossy, and Matte Print Roll Stock, matte.
What pack comes off the roll
The pack shape depends on the machine. Vertical machines (VFFS) usually make pillow bags, gusseted bags and sticks. Horizontal machines (HFFS) make stand-up bags, flat pouches and three-side-seal pouches.
What to keep in mind
Roll stock only makes sense when you have an FFS (form-fill-seal) machine. If you pack by hand or with a sealer, you need ready-made bags, such as aluminum or metallized zip bags. Before ordering, check your machine's documentation for the maximum roll width it takes.
